Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Beacon, a service operated by Alpha2Zulu LLC ("Alpha2Zulu," "we," "us," or "our") under the Beacon by H1L (One Human Left) brand. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Beacon provides AI-powered social media content creation, scheduling, and publishing tools across supported platforms (currently LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, Threads, and X), along with voice-matching (FingerPrint™), content strategy (DNA™), and related features. Features, integrations, and platform support may change as we improve the product.
3. Eligibility & Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Beacon. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Subscription, Billing & Payment
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance, processed securely through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- We may offer a free trial period; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription will begin automatically and billing will commence.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then.
- Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@1humanleft.com.
- We may change our pricing; we will give reasonable advance notice before any price change affects your existing subscription.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Beacon to:
- Post spam, unsolicited bulk content, or engage in harassment, hate speech, or illegal activity.
- Violate the terms of service, community guidelines, or API usage policies of any connected social platform.
- Infringe on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service to generate or distribute deceptive, fraudulent, or misleading content, including impersonation.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create and publish through Beacon. By using the Service, you grant Alpha2Zulu a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service (e.g. generating drafts, scheduling, and publishing to platforms you've connected). You are solely responsible for the content you publish and for ensuring you have the rights to any material you upload (text, images, or other media).
7. AI-Generated Content and Provenance
Beacon uses AI (including third-party AI models) to help generate and refine content based on your inputs, voice profile, and strategy settings. AI-generated output may occasionally be inaccurate, generic, or require editing. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before it is published, and Beacon makes no guarantee as to the accuracy, originality, or performance of AI-generated content.
Provenance markers. Providers of AI models increasingly apply provenance signals to the content their models generate — for example invisible watermarks in text, or metadata attached to files — so that the content can be identified as AI-generated or AI-assisted. Content produced using Beacon may carry such markers, applied by the model provider rather than by Beacon. Beacon does not remove, strip or obscure them, and does not undertake to prevent content produced through the Service from being identified as AI-assisted.
Limits of detection. Provenance markers and third-party “AI detection” tools are not precise. A marker generally indicates only that an AI model was involved at some point; it does not distinguish content an AI drafted from content an AI merely edited, translated or checked, and it does not indicate whether content is accurate, original or of good quality. Detection tools that infer AI involvement from writing style are separately unreliable and frequently mis-identify content written entirely by people. Beacon makes no representation about the results any such tool will produce.
Platform rules and your own obligations. Social platforms set their own policies on AI-generated content, including labelling requirements and reporting mechanisms, and may change them at any time. You are responsible for your use of the Service complying with the policies of the platforms you publish to, and with any disclosure or labelling obligations that apply to you under the laws of your own jurisdiction or your industry. Beacon does not provide legal advice, and nothing in the Service should be relied on as such.
8. Third-Party Platforms
When you connect a social media account, you authorize Beacon to access and act on that account via the platform's official API, subject to the permissions you grant. Your use of connected platforms remains subject to that platform's own terms of service. We are not responsible for changes, outages, or policy enforcement actions taken by third-party platforms.
9. Intellectual Property
Beacon, including its software, design, trademarks (including FingerPrint™, DNA™, and related feature names), and underlying technology, is the property of Alpha2Zulu LLC and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what's necessary to use the Service as intended.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular business result (e.g. engagement, reach, or follower growth) will occur from using Beacon.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alpha2Zulu LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alpha2Zulu LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or for other good-faith business reasons, with notice where reasonably practicable.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will provide reasonable advance notice (e.g. email or in-app notification). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
